😉 I believe forcing end users to download an unreliable tool to create install media is an anachronism. So you see what a Microsoft fan boy I am. I suppose the majority of customers would just have returned the Windows 8 DVD and bought an iPa(i)d or Android tablet instead.

Luckily for Rufus, it is one of the fastest applications that can flash images to the drive. There is not much to do at this point but wait until the process finishes. The length of the process depends on the size and number of files to copy. When you are decided, review the contents and choose to start copying. Thus, make sure that you are aware of the files in your flash drive before you candidate it as the bootable device. This is so that the hardware can have a clean device to work with. When you start, you will be prompted with message that all the data existing in the USB Flash Drive will be formatted first. Make sure that you review everything before beginning the process. Choose to create the bootable disk and you should be able to proceed in choosing the ISO image to be flashed. Since Rufus can support various configurations and customizations on the partition of disks and file system structures, you can adjust them according to your preference. Upon launching the Rufus app, it should be able to detect the flash drive immediately. Make sure that you get the latest release since it would have recent improvements in the package. It is a free application so you should be able to get them with less hassle. In case you have not installed Rufus in your computer, you can feel free to go through the web and look for distribution sites for it.
